The Pheasantry is an Adult Social care, day care provision. We are open every Monday to Friday from 9am-3pm, term time only and excluding bank holidays. The provision supports young adults, 19 years and older who have complex medical, physical and health care disabilities or difficulties.

The Pheasantry provision offers a warm sociable environment, providing age-appropriate experiences and activities for our young adults with various abilities and levels of care to engage fully within. We do not follow a curriculum-based timetable of lessons and activities, but we do provide a safe space, where all of our young adults can enjoy social interactions and engage in daily activities that support their individual development of their own independence and communication.

The activities we offer are planned around the needs of the young adults, we have daily discussions with them all and give them the opportunity to explore, develop experiences and enhance independence skills, appropriate to each of them for their future needs and aspirations. Some of the activities we offer are arts & crafts, baking, tabletop activities such as horticulture, social board games, sensory time with massage and lights, interactions with animals, interactive play with a magic carpet, music therapy and movement to music. We also endeavour to access the local community using the school buses, public transport and walking, as often as we can, and weather permitting. This allows the young people to explore and develop their independent skills whilst enjoying all that Lincoln and the wider community has to offer.

The Pheasantry provision is managed by The Lincoln Saints Federation, and the day to day running by Sally Hancock and Vicky Rastall. Sally and Vicky both have over 10 years’ experience working with children and adults with a wide range of complex additional needs. All of our staff have a wealth of experience supporting young adults and their range of needs and have regular external training updates, tailored to the needs of the young adults who attend The Pheasantry.

The cost to access The Pheasantry provision varies over a 4-tiered system and depends upon the individual needs and level of support required for each young adult. Due to the vulnerable and complex nature of our young adults, we are unable to accept or support young adults with behavioural difficulties.
