We are very proud of our school ethos, which is underpinned by mutual respect for all. We have 5 key values, chosen by staff, parents and children. These values underpin our whole ethos and the excellent behaviour and role models we have within school. They are;

• Kindness
• Independence
• Teamwork

We celebrate students (and staff) who consistently demonstrate our school values.

Pupil’s names are written on a leaf, along with the demonstrated value. This is then added to our values tree for all to see and celebrate!

We believe in our school family and Team ethos. We therefore take every opportunity to celebrate achievement made by all. Every class has a values chart and when the whole class have work together to demonstrate a value, they earn a ‘tick.’ When the class have earned 10 ticks, this is added to the whole area chart. When the area charts are complete, the pupils are rewarded with a celebratory values treat.

Pupils and staff can nominate a friend who has shown them a specific school value. Their nomination slip is put in our ‘values box’ and at the end of term, a ‘Values Champion’ is chosen! They are presented with a gift – please see the photographs on the website for details of past and present champions!
