Upper School

• The curriculum provides students with their full entitlement. It is broad, relevant and inspirational, promoting successful outcomes, supporting excellence in personal development, providing enrichment and demonstrating exciting and memorable experiences across all phases.

• The curriculum enables all pupils to achieve their full educational potential and make progress in their learning. It also has a continually positive impact on their personal development, behaviour and welfare as well as their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

• As the school is taking a wider range of need, particularly pupils with complex needs (PMLD), the curriculum has evolved to meet these needs. Pedagogy developments have been implemented driven by the school’s PMLD policy, Routes for Learning and MAPP. Staffing structures have been reviewed, along with further developing staff expertise in the area of more complex students, their curriculum and assessment.
